Hey, Manta!

Happy 24 anyone!

I’m utterly happy to have several times to write again. And because today is 24, so the happy level multiplied by 3254358. What am I going to write here is about another travelling experience, not that fabulous like duaransel or whateverbackpacker, sih. but still..

On exactly two months ago, on this very hour, I was sitting by the foreshore with A, eating fish ball, looking at the dark sea and not-so-sparkling night sky, listening to the waves, and enjoying the sea breeze between our skin and hair. It was indeed not fancy, but it made me happy. Because we talked about many things. From cheap meals to our plan about the next day, from saying our gratefulness of our quality time to arguing what’s the best language we taught to children. Okay, now I miss him.

The trip was not a long trip, not required lots stuffs and budget. We were going to Thousand Islands, Pari Island exactly. You’ve been there? It was my first time.  We ride onto a medium boat with many people inside, and seeing that black sea-water on the harbor. Not a good start. We had almost 2 hours to reach the island. And when I arrived….. yeah. The island was full of tourists. “This was so different with Sawarna, right?” complained both of us on every chance, on every standpoint we visited.

After lunch, we did snorkeling on three different spots. Fun! We were on the same group with Chinese sisters which were so kind and funny, and sweet because they took their mom! Aww moments. After snorkeling, we both got some scratches after standing on the biggest coral. Yeah. You’d better use fins. But fins could make your feet cramped. But fins help you move faster and further. So, you choose. We went back to the island at almost sunset. I was rushing my bike to the west side of island, while A chose to stay at his room, doing his work. Dude.

These are the things cannot be found in Sawarna. We can do sport. Sawarna 0 - Pari 1

The next morning was so incredible! We were riding our bike to reach Pantai Perawan, which is not fully virgin anymore, which made me muttering because of trashes. Yes. On the very clear sea-water with white sands, you could see trash easily. But the view still got my heart huhuhu. After breakfast, we went to western end of the island, where we should pass the forest, the rocky roads to finally end at the end of the island. It’s like walking on a tiny line as you can see on the map. There, I could see other islands, and one private island. There was the farthest point of the island. And in the afternoon, we should drive back to Jakarta.

waiting for the sunrise, but the sun was too far to be captured. Unlike that lovely sunrise in Sawarna. Sawarna 1 - Pari 1

the clear sea water show me clearly the trash :(
